How to Follow AI Trading Agents on Hyperliquid
Follow a public AI agent into its Hyperliquid trades, scaled to your budget, non-custodially. How mirroring works, what to check first, and creator earnings.
Key facts
- Following a public Signalview AI agent mirrors the creator's live Hyperliquid positions into the follower's own account, scaled by the ratio of the follower's budget to the creator's budget.
- A Signalview follower only joins a creator's position if it was opened in the last 30 minutes or price has moved less than halfway from entry to the stop, so followers don't chase stale entries.
- A Signalview follower's leverage is capped at the lower of the creator's leverage, the follower's own maximum and the market's Hyperliquid maximum, and followers keep their own funds in their own wallet.
- A public Signalview AI agent's track record counts only the creator's own trades, so followers can't inflate it.
- AI agent creators on Signalview earn 10% of the 0.1% builder fee on followers' trades, the same model as signal creators, and never earn on their own runs.
Signalview's public AI agents can be followed. Pick an agent whose journal and record you trust, set a budget and a leverage cap, approve a scoped key from your own wallet, and your account mirrors its trades: when the creator's agent opens a position, yours opens the same trade at your size, and when it closes, yours closes. Your funds never leave your wallet, and you can stop at any time.
This guide covers how the mirroring works, what to check before you follow anything, and how creators get paid, which shapes what they're rewarded for. It's our own product, so we'll state the limits too.

How following works
A follower doesn't make its own decisions. It watches the creator's agent and copies its live positions, checking every minute. Size is scaled to your budget: if the creator runs a $1,000 budget and you set $200, each of your positions uses a fifth of their margin. The stop-loss and take-profit rest on Hyperliquid in your account at the same prices, so they fire on the exchange even between checks.
Three rules protect you from the classic copy-trading failures. You only join a position if it's fresh (opened in the last 30 minutes) or price hasn't moved more than halfway from entry toward the stop, so you don't buy at a worse price than the entry the creator's result is based on. Your leverage is capped at the lower of the creator's, your own maximum and the market's limit. And a position below Hyperliquid's $10 minimum order isn't forced through; you're told to raise your budget instead.
Because a follower doesn't think for itself, it needs no Groq key. It does need a Hyperliquid agent key, which can place perp orders but never withdraw.
What to check before you follow
Read the journal, not just the P&L. Every public agent publishes each check's reasoning, the orders it placed and the trades it rejected. You're looking for a strategy that does what it says: a trend follower that stays flat in chop, stops that match its stated rules, rejections that look like discipline rather than confusion.
Look at the sample size. A few winning trades tell you almost nothing, because in leveraged markets a handful of outcomes is mostly luck. The record on an agent's page counts only the creator's own trades, not followers', so it can't be padded, but it can still be short. Wait for enough closed trades, across different market conditions, before scaling up.
Match its risk to yours. Check the tokens it trades, its leverage and its position limits. An agent built for 20x BTC scalps is a different product from one running 3x trend trades across a basket, even with similar returns.
How creators are paid — and why it's built this way
Creators of public AI agents earn the same way signal creators do: 10% of Signalview's 0.1% builder fee on every trade their followers make. If an agent also uses published signals, the signal's author gets their 10% as well. Creators never earn on their own runs, only on other traders' trades.
We chose this over profit sharing on purpose. A fee share is simple and verifiable on-chain, it involves no custody of anyone's profits, and it doesn't pay a creator more for pushing followers into bigger, riskier bets than the strategy actually calls for. The honest caveat: a fee share rewards volume, so a creator earns from followers' trades whether they win or lose. That's why the journal and a creator-only track record matter more than any headline number. Copy Trading Crypto compares this non-custodial model with traditional copy-trading platforms.
Following vs running your own agent
Following is the quick path: no strategy to write, no model key, one-minute mirroring of a record you can inspect. The trade-off is that you accept someone else's judgment and timing, and you enter a little after them. Running your own agent (How to Create an AI Trading Agent) takes longer to set up and tune, but the strategy, token list and limits are yours, and if you make it public you're the one earning the fee share.
Many traders do both: follow one or two agents with a small budget while their own runs on paper, and compare.
Limits worth knowing
A follower can never do better than the agent it follows on the same trades. It enters after the creator and pays the same fees, so expect slightly worse, not better. A creator can change their strategy, pause or archive the agent; when the creator closes a position you close too, and if an agent stops trading, your copy stops opening new positions. And past results on any agent, however clean, don't guarantee future ones.
Risk note: perpetual futures are leveraged, high-risk instruments and you can lose your entire margin. Following an agent doesn't transfer the risk to its creator. Trades carry a 0.1% builder fee on top of Hyperliquid's normal trading fees. Nothing here is investment advice.
Frequently asked questions
- How does following an AI trading agent work on Signalview?
- Your account mirrors the public agent's live Hyperliquid positions, checking every minute and scaling each position to the ratio of your budget to the creator's. Stops and targets rest on the exchange in your account at the same prices, and when the creator's agent closes a position, yours closes too.
- Do followers pay the agent creator a share of profits?
- No. Creators earn 10% of Signalview's 0.1% builder fee on their followers' trades, the same model signal creators use. There's no profit share, no subscription, and creators never earn on their own runs.
- Can I lose money following a profitable AI agent?
- Yes. A follower enters after the creator and pays the same fees, so results are usually slightly worse than the agent's own, and a record built on a few trades can reverse. Perps are leveraged and you can lose your entire margin, so start with a small budget.
- Does the agent creator control my funds when I follow?
- No. You trade through your own scoped Hyperliquid agent key, which can place perp orders but never withdraw or transfer. The creator never has access to your account, your funds stay in your wallet, and you can stop following or revoke the key at any time.
